To our surprise, Liam was into Santa this year...he even wrote a letter to Santa, and got one back in return. He was so excited!
He does look a little nervous here, but he was brave...
and then we decided maybe Emma could sit up there with him too, and although you may not be able to see her face, she was not happy! Which then made Liam a little nervous too!
In the end he was able to explain what he would like, and he got a candy cane.
We have really enjoyed the Christmas season this year, being able to reflect on our many blessings, our Savior, visit with family, and celebrate being half way done with law school! We love all of you, and hope you have a wonderful New Year!

Temple Night & Ice Skating Adventure
Hey all...anyone interested in attending an endowment session on Tuesday December 22nd @ 8:00pm? If you are please give me a call or email me and let me know so I can make an appointment at the temple. It's a nice way to get in the Christmas spirit. Also the next day Wednesday December 23rd Marj is planning an ice skating adventure in the afternoon at the indoor rink in Roseville and then off to the Wilhelm home for chilli, soup & socializing. Should be great fun...

Mom's half marathon
Mom i know this is soooooo LATE but i had some pictures of you at your half marathon! And thought i would post them! We have the coolest family EVER! I'm so PROUD!!
Mom, did SUCH a great job... WHAT a great accomplishment. You are THE coolest!!!!!! Love you
SNOW!!!
Woke up to snow this morning. Walked outside and saw 3 or 4 inches of snow on all the cars parked in the driveway. Took a picture, NOT. Got in the car and started driving to work and then thought "I should've taken a picture". Too late to do it then. Anyway rather surprising to wake up to snow in Fair Oaks...

Run Day
I'll be participating in the Run The River Marathon on Saturday. If anybody wants to come out and cheer me on (or point and laugh, whichever you prefer), feel free. It starts at 7am from Negro Bar, tracks the American River Parkway and finishes up in Discovery Park. I'm guessing I'll be finishing up at about 12:30 (yes, I'm that slow).
I'm so grateful for my kids!!
We took some pictures with Grandma at the temple on Monday night (I'll post them later). No one was there, so we were just enjoying the grounds and running from place to place. I was carrying Jack while the boys were chasing us. Jack let out a squeal of such delight it made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes at the same time. Having all of these little ones has really helped me see so much beauty and joy in this world. I'm so grateful for them!

New Baby & Halloween
So, needless to say, it was a busy weekend for us! Friday night, we went to the ward party with Janessa and our little "zoo". Allan was a kangaroo...he hopped everywhere! Karlee was a monkey...she loves monkeys! And Colbie was a giraffe...the cutest one I have ever seen! They had tons of fun & got candy! Woohoo. This was about 2 hours before I went into labor.
We got home, put Karlee down...then boom! Time to go!
Little JOLEEN DIXIE BUNKER was born at 10:24 on Halloween morning. She was 8 pounds, 5 ounces, 21 1/4 inches long (bigger than Karlee!) It was rough...and had been an even more rough recovery, but we are home and happy! My mom and dad were at Disneyland for my mom's 50th Birthday. They had so much fun & drove straight to the hospital on Halloween! My dad planned the trip just for my mom, with barely any help! We were so proud! :)
Both the kids are doing great & Karlee is doing great being the big sister!
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Halloween 2009
Liam really enjoyed Halloween this year...we got a pumpkin this year, he dressed up (wearing Mickey Mouse ears, and a Mickey T Shirt), and he got lots of candy. We took him to Didi and Grandma's Trunk or Treat, where Emily and Grace took him around. He had so much fun! Then on Saturday we went to our apartment complex Halloween Party, where the UCDavis Band Uh comes to play for a half hour- it was fabulous! We had front row seats, and Liam was thrilled. He also got to play some games, and win some prizes. That evening we had a couple families over for dinner, and all of the children went Trick or Treating. They had a blast together. Liam didnt care for those who had masks on, and isnt into the intense costumes yet, but we were excited that he would wear the Mickey Mouse ears.

Gabe's Eagle Court of Honor
I thought this picture would be bigger. Oh well. We are holding an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Gabriel on Saturday, November 14th at 3:00 pm at the Deseret Building. Of course you are all invited. I will try to get some invitations out but I'm not good at getting things done. Just a heads up so you can possibly work this into your busy schedules. If you can make it great and if you can't that's fine too.

Caleb Is Rhyming Me
These two are best buds, but they really know how to push one another's buttons. Its an interesting thing to watch their dynamic grow and change over time. We usually end up with Caleb figuring some way to get Julian upset. My favorite example was this week when Caleb (who has begun to really rhyme in ernest) began finding rhymes for Julian's name. Julian didn't like it, but Caleb wouldn't stop. Julian, very upset by now, said "Dad, Caleb's rhyming me". It was too cute not to note somewhere.

Owl Cookies
I haen't been feeling very motivated to take photos lately after doing my photo class, but I'm slowly getting back into it again. We've made these owl cookies for the past couple years and this is the first year the boys have really kind of known what we're doing and gotten excited about them. They're great for kids because they can put the eyes (M&Ms) and beak (cashew nuts) on and love to see the cookie turn into an owl. Plus Jack loved stuffing his face with the M&Ms. I love doing holiday things! Besides owl cookies we went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday with my sister Lindsay and had a wonderful time,. We decorated our pumpkins yesterday for FHE (we just stick eyes and mouthes on them, cutting up the pumpkin seems like too much work!). On Thursday for Joy School we are making a jack o lantern, so that should be fun too. Next week we are going trick or treating at our neighborhood retirement home and there are a lot of Hallowe'en parties happening on Saturday. It sure is a fun time of year!

Leah's been a little under the weather
Of course any time she's under the weather I'm overly concerned since she has a "history" of near death experiences. Prayers would be appreciated. Nothing terrible yet but she turns so quickly. Thanks and love you all...

Cowtown Half Marathon!!!
The start...of course I have my head down...
Somewhere along the way...
I finished...amazing!!! There were photographers all along the way. Most of the photos they took of me I had my head down. I know I sort of walk with my head down but it was weird to have photographic evidence of my hanging head. Anyway I finished and got a cowbell which Leah promptly took into her possession. Don't even know where the thing is at this point. I've had trouble with my left hamstring for about 6 weeks now. Not sure what I did or why it's not getting better so I kind of hobbled the last 3 miles of this walk. I was amazed how many walkers there were. I was sure I was going to get lost and that I would be the only one walking. Of course I was taking the whole Gilbert worry and stress thing a little too far. I didn't get lost and I wasn't the only one walking and I wasn't the last one in so I figure it was some sort of success. My time was 3 hours and 36 minutes. The stuff I read said any reasonably fit person can walk a half marathon in 4 hours so I guess that makes me reasonably fit. Ha...

Apple Hill Day Trip
Today Janessa, Jamie and I went to apple hill with the kids. We had a picnic lunch, walked around, got apple treats, and took pictures of the kids playing in the pumpkins! We all took pictures, so they will have to add some too! It was fun & super nice weather! :)
Liam doing his scared face!
Karlee doing hers!
Our attempt to take a picture of all 3...obviously failed.
My favorite of Karlee :)
I think they are looking at Janessa...
A classic halloween face.
The boys climbing! Karlee tried to keep up with them...didn't work out too well.
Another attempt at a group picture. Another failure.
(Emma was taking a nap...so sadly we didn't get a picture of her.)

Haunted Ghost Mansion
Grandma Louise bought Liam a Haunted Ghost Mansion, and so for Family Home Evening last night we put it together. Liam loved it, although at first he didnt think he could eat the candies, or touch the frosting. He figured it out after Dad told him he could eat it...we had such a great time making it! Thank you Grandma Louise!
